Little Pups - Kindergarten Transition
Little Pups is a transition to school program designed to prepare children for their exciting journey into Kindergarten. Held at the school's OOSH (Out of School Hours) hub, this program aims to foster school readiness and familiarise children with our school environment, helping them build confidence and make new friends. With a duration of one and a half hours a week, our Little Pups program provides a supportive and nurturing space where children can develop essential skills and gain confidence before starting Kindergarten. This program is held during term 3 and children must be enrolled for Kindergarten at Branxton Public School for the following year in order to attend.
Our team is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore, grow, and shine. We can’t wait to get to know your little learners and work together with you to make kindergarten a special time in their life.
Little Pups is for the purpose of orienting children to Branxton Public School.
This includes:
- The school getting to know each child, their prior knowledge and skills and engaging in reciprocal relationships with local preschool services to support this.
- Working with families and children to support development in a wide range of focus areas such as literacy, numeracy, social skills and wellbeing.
- Building familiarity with school routines and the school environment
- Children getting to know teachers and other children
- Building familiarity and relationships within the new school environment.
