Congratulations Mayoral Academic team!

Last week, our school participated in the Mayoral Academic Challenge at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre. Three Year 6 students, Mitch, Amy and Morgan were selected for the team. They won their heat on the Wednesday, making it into the semi final. Then on Friday, not only did they win the semi final, going on to compete in the final, but they won the final and were presented with a cheque for $3000! As the winning Primary team they went on to challenge the winning team from the High School competition, winning an extra $250 for our school.

About 45 Stage 3 students went to Cessnock Performing Arts Centre to watch and support the team on both days.

Congratulations Mitch, Amy and Morgan. We are so incredibly proud of you.
